A beautiful grass to plant in large groups in combination with flowering perennials. Its sturdy, blue-green foliage is reasonably evergreen with an attractive autumn hue, and its slender blooms make this grass an eye-catcher: at a height of 30-60 cm, the purplish-red to beige-brown flower spikes are almost horizontally oriented and strikingly resemble (artificial) eyebrows or even caterpillars!
