Magnolia tripetala

  • Product number: 652105
  • Origin: North America
  • Latin: Magnolia tripetala

The first thing that stands out are the large, shiny leaves, which keep the ground dry like an umbrella. The white flowers, which appear in spring (after the leaves emerge), are also enormous and can reach a diameter of 25 cm! After flowering, graceful, pinkish-red fruits develop. The tree can eventually reach a height of 15 m, but it can be well limited in height in a large pot or tub (or by pruning). Here, the tree is completely winter hardy.
