A special, hardy tree that can be kept smaller in a pot, or grown as an impenetrable (thorny) hedge or large shrub in the open ground. Plant 3-5 seedlings in a pot and let them grow together. The plants are dioecious, meaning one plant contains either male or female inflorescences. They will start to flower while still young, so you can enjoy the unique, large, spherical fruits. The exterior of the yellow-green fruits somewhat resemble the shape of brains. Incidentally, these beautiful fruits are not edible, or at least absolutely not tasty.
