This protected South African tree deserves much more attention! The tree blooms beautifully with hanging clusters of blue butterfly-like flowers, resembling our well-known Wisteria, but as an upright tree rather than a climbing plant. The tree tolerates some frost, but its younger years need to be protected more carefully.
Naturally, this graceful tree is also suitable for cultivation as a bonsai.
