As a foliage plant, with its sturdy, sword-shaped, blue-green leaves, it is already imposing and exotic, but the rare colour of its flowers takes the cake: purplish-black bracts with ivory-white flowers on almost black stems. The flower shape has the characteristic crane shape. An easy container plant. The proud, graceful flowers appear after a few years. Height in a pot 100-150cm, in the tropics the plant can grow up to 10m tall!
