The Sparmannia africana is particularly decorative due to its large, but fresh green leaves! The leaves are soft and stay on the plant for 1 year, in winter the plant prefers to shed its leaves in a cool place. It enjoys being outdoors in summer, and occasional pruning keeps the plant compact. In early spring, older plants bloom with clusters of beautiful white-yellow flowers.
