A relative of the honey locust, which is hardy in our climate. In New Zealand, this plant is evergreen, with graceful, finely pinnate leaves and stunning, yellow, tubular flowers! The flower is the "national flower" of New Zealand. After flowering, 15cm long pods appear. Its growth is winding and decorative for a pot. Light frost does not bother the plant; usually, a shed is a good place to overwinter it.
