A fascinating and mysterious plant, due to its ingenious adaptation to the marsh environment. The leaves are large and round, with the petiole in the center. The wonderfully beautiful WHITE flowers at first glance resemble our water lily, but in the center is the typical, flattened receptacle, where seeds develop in cavities.
As a bonus, all parts of the plant are edible: flower, (unripe) seeds, leaf, and thick root!
Easy to grow from seed, see the detailed sowing instructions.
