Kleinia neriifolia

Kleinia neriifolia

Product number: 644750
Origin: Canary Islands
Latin: Kleinia neriifolia

The special thing about this beautiful succulent is that it only occurs in the wild on the Canary Islands. In the rest of the world, the plant has been "imported". The narrow, elongated, succulent leaves grow in a large tuft at the end of the branching stems. Occasionally, the plant drops its leaves, creating a small trunk. Don't panic, the stems also contain chlorophyll, the plant simply continues to live and will produce new leaves in due course. Kleinia likes a very bright spot, moderate water, and can be kept outdoors in summer.

Sowing method: Year-round, prepare a seed tray with cocopeat and silver sand, sieve the top layer so the seeds are on fine soil. Spread the seeds and only press them down, as they are light germinators. Place the seed tray in a bright spot, but not in direct sunlight. Never let the seedbed dry out, mist with lukewarm water. Germination takes 1-2 months, but can also take much longer, so don't give up too quickly.
