The hardiest feather palm! This Chilean palm grows up to 25m high there and then has a trunk diameter of 2m! The largest palm in the world. With us, it's a successful potted plant (can be in the sun) and remains modest in size because its growth is slow. It can overwinter outdoors in a sheltered spot. Wine is made from its trunk sap, hence the name. Germination at 30°C!
