Stiff bottlebrush

  • Product number: 641225
  • Origin: Australia
  • Latin: Callistemon rigidus

By now a familiar (but expensive) sight in garden centres: lance-shaped, sturdy leaves with bright red, brush-like flowers. This is probably the hardiest of the Callistemons and can tolerate up to 10 degrees of frost. The (originally Australian) plant is sun-loving and prefers not to be in a wet place during winter.
