This beautiful container plant has many interesting characteristics. Particularly striking is its fantastic bloom (after several years of growth): white, open flowers with 5 sepals and red veins towards the center. The pear-shaped fruits contain oily seeds (nuts) from which the famous Tung oil is pressed: a fast-drying woodworking oil. The leaves are heart-shaped, dark green, and quite large. Please note: all parts of the plant contain (mild) toxins.
