This is a very popular tree in the (sub)tropics; they are very heat-resistant and provide pleasant shade due to their wide growth. The pinnate leaves are already very decorative. When adorned with white fluffy flowers (fragrant!), it looks as if it has snowed! After flowering, graceful, hanging pods containing the seeds appear.
The plant is not winter-hardy with us, so let it overwinter in a cool, frost-free place.
