This is the most common Aloe in South Africa, with virtually the same uses as Aloe vera. Like the latter, ferox can be eaten or drunk in small quantities, adding a pleasant bitterness to soft drinks and jams. Its applicability in skin care is well-known and very popular. An herbal tea is made from the dry leaves and flowers. The medicinal applications are numerous; delve into them before you start using it.
