Small, dark blue, lightly scented violets with large, round leaves. This wild violet blooms very early and thrives best in a (partially) shaded spot. The underground runners ensure robust growth. Height 20 cm.
We searched for the most delicious violet with the widest range of consumption possibilities. Behold: the Sweet Violet, whose young leaves make a delicious salad when combined with a spicy addition such as mustard greens or arugula. Atop the salad, the tasty, fragrant flowers provide an elegant and surprisingly delicious touch. The leaves have a thickening effect in soups, similar to okra. A calming tea can be brewed from the flowers and leaves.
