Veratrum schindleri
- Product number: 605555
- Origin: China
- Latin: Veratrum schindleri
This Chinese plant is quite rare and certainly very special! The star-shaped, brownish-red flowers are distributed over branched, white woolly stems. The tanned foliage with vertical veins is typical of all Veratrum species; Gentiana lutea also has such a leaf shape... give the plant a consistently moist but well-drained spot; it tolerates sun reasonably well, but some shade is nice. The impressive height will fluctuate around 120-150 cm but can reach up to 2 m under the right conditions!
All Veratrum species are poisonous if consumed.
