Wild thyme

  • Product number: 605000
  • Origin: Europe
  • Latin: Thymus serpyllum

This little brother of kitchen thyme is just as tasty and aromatic, but has a very compact, creeping growth. Beautiful as a ground cover, give it a sunny, well-drained spot. This plant overwinters more easily than common thyme, and you can, of course, harvest it less often. Bees and bumblebees love the violet-pink thyme blossoms! Height 5-10 cm.

Names:
Latin: Thymus serpyllum
Dutch: Wilde Tijm, Kleine Tijm, Kruiptijm or Looptijm
