Bittersweet Nightshade
- Product number: 604720
- Origin: Europe, Asia
- Latin: Solanum dulcamara
An easy-to-grow member of the Nightshade family, it easily climbs through dull shrubs or along netting, preferably in the sun. Its leaves and berries were used especially in rituals in the past and are still used today as an internal and external medicinal herb. Overdosing is dangerous and toxic! The 2-4 m climbing plant produces beautiful clusters of blue flowers with reflexed petals, allowing the yellow cluster of stamens to protrude prominently! After flowering, green to red berries appear, which are poisonous to humans but not to birds, who love them!
