One of the easiest perennials to grow from seed! Sturdy clumps with iris-like, grey-green leaves, "adorned" in June-July with 60-80cm high, open, cream-coloured flowers. The flowers grow one above the other in small clusters. Within the cluster, there is sequential flowering, creating the charming effect of buds, flowers, and seed pods. They last a long time in a vase (change water daily). Place them in a sunny spot; if they are not too wet in winter, the leaves will remain green. If this fails (the leaves turn black), do not cut them off.
