A surprising garden plant, due to its slender structure and beautiful flower shape! The bright red to orange-red flowers emerge from bladder-shaped flower buds, typical of the Silene. The flower (in terms of shape) is somewhat reminiscent of the cuckoo flower: deeply incised and often not entirely arranged in a circle. The stems are 40-50 cm high, they bloom from March to June and prefer a not too wet, sunny spot. In mild winters and a not too wet spot, the plant is perennial.
