You can still find them on sandy soils near the dunes and along the major rivers. One of our most beautiful wildflowers! The sturdy stems, 50-70 cm high, bear clusters of Phlox-like flowers. The color is cotton candy pink, a fresh (and sweet) hue. The flowers have a fresh and sweet scent. The root contains saponins, a toxic substance used in medicine as an expectorant for bronchitis.

Sowing method: Sow in a seed tray, first provide warmth for 2-4 weeks (18-22°C), then a cold period in, for example, the refrigerator (+4°C) for 4-6 weeks, then gradually warm up to room temperature, after which germination will follow. Sowing directly in the ground is also possible; simply let it overwinter, and germination will occur in the spring.
