Fantastically flowering sage, in shades of pink and red with possible intermediate colours. The flowers are much loved for their slightly sweet taste with a cassis (cherry) nuance. The leaves are quite bitter, but after a milk infusion (for example, for making ice cream) this bitterness disappears and is replaced by a spicy sage flavour. Hardy, provided it is not too wet.
