The original, yellow primrose. The young leaves can be eaten raw in salads or added to soup during the last 5 minutes of cooking. The taste is quite neutral, but the mouthfeel is pleasant! Because the plant sprouts early in spring, it was heavily harvested from the wild (to the point of extinction); changed agricultural methods have also not helped. A tasty wine was even made from the flowers! There are many medicinal properties, we found, among others, its application for ADHD avant la lettre! Plant height 15-30 cm, the best spot is semi-shade to sun, provided it is sufficiently moist. The plants grow in grass, provided it is not mown short.
