Lunaria annua 'Sissinghurst White'
- Product number: 596300
- Origin: Europe
- Latin: Lunaria annua, or also L. biennis
Early in spring, this easy grower blooms with bright white flowers, followed by the typical round, flat, (then still) green seed pods. After drying and peeling, they look just like silver coins because the septum gleams like silver and mother-of-pearl. These 75 cm tall plants also grow very well in partial shade. Honesty is usually grown as a biennial, but can also have an annual cycle (if sown early), the plant readily self-seeds and naturalizes.
