A rare species, still found in woodland areas in the Netherlands. The slender flowers emerge from a green calyx and have a white base with pink tips and wine-red veins. The leaves are very narrowly lance-shaped. The flowers are popular with butterflies and bumblebees! Plants climb up to 2 m.
Hardy Lathyrus species are less well-known, but certainly an enrichment for your garden. Every year they emerge from the ground and climb to a greater or lesser extent (depending on the variety) against netting or stakes. In a pot, it grows as a lush hanging plant.
