In the wild, this beautiful plant grows in the Chihuahuan Desert in Texas and the USA.
It is a strong plant that tolerates a lot of frost, provided it is planted in a well-draining and sunny spot. The reward is a (blue)green plant, 1 m high and wide with beautiful clusters of red bell flowers on 1.5 m long stems. You will be amazed at the butterflies that are attracted to these flowers!
Naturally, the plant also grows very well in a large pot. In winter, keep it drier in a shed or under a lean-to.
