In my opinion, this is one of the most beautiful cranesbills! Beautiful broad light-green leaves are crowned with stems of the loveliest downy buds that open from late spring to reveal soft pink flowers with deep pink veins. The fully reflexed petals give the flowers a cyclamen-like appearance. Perfect in sun, partial, or full shade. Semi-evergreen in mild winters, but can be dormant after a hard frost. The height is about 50 cm.
Cranesbill is the Dutch name for the garden geranium, not to be confused with the geraniums planted in window boxes and pots; these plants are called Pelargonium.
