With your eyes closed, you already know the garden pink is blooming... the sweet carnation scent, a fragrance only carnations possess! The low-growing, semi-creeping, semi-upright plant has spiky blue-green leaves. The garden pink retains its foliage in winter, although it can look a bit untidy during this season. The flowers are open (single-flowered), fringed, and in a mixture of white, pink, and magenta hues. Give them a sunny and well-drained spot. If sown early, the little carnations will bloom in the same year!
