Thanks to this Sugar Rush series, we can now offer seeds of uniquely coloured wallflowers. This 'Purple Bicolour' is single-flowered and light with dark purple: rarely beautiful! Deliciously sweet-scented and flowering in summer, the plant flowers longest if faded blooms are removed and if the plant receives regular moisture. Compact growth: 20-25 cm.
Wallflowers owe their name to their spontaneous germination on crumbling (demolition) walls and/or their frequent planting at the foot of a sunny wall. So they love sun and, above all, not too much moisture! In such a spot, they self-seed; timely pruning of old plants and some mounding often encourages regrowth.
