This is the slightly smaller brother of the Himalayan giant C. giganteum. The height of this beautiful lily builds up from 70-200 cm as the plant establishes itself better and for longer. The ideal growing spot is between trees or shrubs, with plenty of shade and humus at the base and some sun on the top. Most spectacular are the large, trumpet-shaped, green-white flowers with reddish-brown spots in the throat. There can be 2-15 flowers per stem and these smell wonderful and attract masses of bumblebees, bees and butterflies! The large, attractive leaves tend to be heart-shaped.
