This plant originally comes from North-East America (the former New Netherland), from where the plant has become indigenous to Northern Europe. This aster flowers profusely (in a fairly to very sunny spot with sufficient water) in shades of pink, wine red, white and blue. The late summer and autumn are richly colored with this grateful garden plant. Bees and butterflies enjoy its nectar!
