A moderately hardy plant that grows to a height of 150 cm. It flowers from June to August. The small, white flower clusters emit a honey-sweet fragrance. However, it is the fruits that give the plant its popularity. They resemble inflated chestnuts, several on a stem. They are bright green and slightly (softly) spiky. After ripening, the 5 cm round fruits burst open, revealing the seeds hanging on threads. Give the plants a frost-free place in winter, and you can enjoy them for years!
