An easy and hardy arum! Some attractive features: the hardy, pointed, dark green leaves with light green marbling appear as early as autumn, the flowering is almost hidden beneath the foliage, but when everything has died back in summer, the next surprise arrives: a stalk with bright orange-red berries in late summer into autumn! Place them in the shade or along a tree line. The plant is poisonous if eaten raw, but you'll quickly learn that, as the tingling in your tongue will warn you! The roots, on the other hand, are a good edible tuber when cooked.
