Through active cross-breeding and selection, a team at Thompson & Morgan succeeded in cultivating this beautiful series of single-flowered hollyhocks! In addition to being single-flowered, attention was paid to pure colours, large flowers with beautiful dark or light hearts, thus bicoloured.
The foliage is remarkably healthy, and according to the growers, these hollyhocks are not biennial but perennial. To be safe, we advise cutting off spent flower stalks to encourage regrowth of the plant before winter.
