In our increasingly mild climate, Agapanthus is becoming more and more winter hardy. A well-drained spot in the garden is essential. It can also be potted in winter and overwintered frost-free. After a few years, sturdy stems with bell-shaped flowers grouped in a semi-circular umbel emerge, with lance-shaped thick leaves at the base.
