This beautiful steel-blue corn produces cobs over 20 cm long and originates from the Native Americans (Shaman is a type of medicine man). In the US, this blue variety is popular as a large, colourful popcorn. For successful "popping", the corn must be sufficiently hard and mature; in our country, this sometimes doesn't happen during a poor late summer.
