A long-flowering perennial from South America, but in our climate, it is often grown as an annual. However, with recent winters, the plant has been returning well for years and also self-seeds. The beautiful, finely incised leaves precede a mass of violet-pink to blue flower clusters (height 15-30 cm), ideal as a temporary ground cover or as a hanging plant. The plants are drought-tolerant, so feel free to place them in "difficult" spots in your garden. Bees and butterflies love the flowers!
