Tagetes erecta 'Kees Orange'

  • Product number: 555055
  • Origin: Mexico, Central America
  • Latin: Tagetes erecta

This large-flowered African marigold was selected for the darkest orange hue, who knows, maybe a red variety will emerge someday...?
Height 70 cm, a strong cut flower!

Giant-flowered African marigolds (5-10 cm in diameter) remind me of my childhood; I loved their scent and enjoyed walking through fields of these big guys. The large spherical flowers are a nice old-fashioned decoration for the garden, and for the taller types: they are excellent for cutting!
This Tagetes also works against harmful nematodes (eelworms); for more crops, see the chapter "Useful Plants" in the "Disease-repellent Plants" group.
