"Personal Nostalgia: As a child, I already loved the smell of large African marigolds!" These large, deep orange African marigolds are very suitable for both the garden and as cut flowers. Height 80-90 cm.
Giant-flowered African marigolds (diameter 5-10 cm) remind me of my childhood; I loved their scent and enjoyed walking through fields of these big guys. The large spherical flowers are a wonderfully old-fashioned garden decoration, and for the taller types, they are excellent as cut flowers!
This Tagetes also works against harmful nematodes (eelworms); for more crops, see the chapter "Useful Plants" in the group "Disease-Resistant Plants."
