This compactly growing tobacco originates from Western Turkey. Izmir is a Turkish city, formerly called Smyrna. The leaves are bumpy and not very sticky; the plant remains sturdy and narrow. After fermentation, the leaves are prized for their full and aromatic experience: recommended for cigarettes and pipes.
Tobacco plants are diligent bloomers, whether in sun or shade, dry weather or rain!
