Oriental or Turkish tobacco is an important component of the blend in pipe or cigarette tobacco. The plants have relatively small leaves, but are otherwise similar to most varieties: 1.5-2 m high with lilac-pink flowers. Traditionally, 'Orient' is grown in Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria, Lebanon, and Macedonia.
