Plants yield an average of 28 harvestable leaves, which is quite a lot! It can be air-cured or sun-cured. Air-cured leaves are deep brown and produce a mild aroma with a licorice-like taste. The flowers are creamy white.

Sowing method: February-April indoors at 20-25°C or outdoors in May (in a warm, shady spot). Always pre-sow in a seed tray. Use cocopeat with silver sand as growing medium, sieve the top layer extra finely (kitchen sieve). Spread the seeds over the seedbed, press lightly and mist with water: it's a light germinator! Transplant into potting soil in time to prevent growth stagnation. The plants can be moved outdoors in May, as soon as the weather becomes consistently warmer.
