Nicotiana tabacum 'Havana 608'

Product number: 542525
Origin: South America
Latin: *Nicotiana tabacum*

Havana 608 is a cigar tobacco and a very good blender. The plants grow up to 180 cm and the leaves are placed close together, they are very bright green and pointed upwards with slightly downward-pointing tips. The plants are well resistant to a less warm summer and the pyramidal shape ensures good wind resistance. The leaves turn light yellowish-green with yellowing at the edges when ripe. Plants have an average of 20 harvestable leaves per plant, which are 30 cm wide and 45 cm long.

Tobacco plants are diligent bloomers, in sun or shade, dry weather or rain!

Sowing method: February-April indoors at 20-25°C or outdoors in May (in a warm, shady spot). Always pre-sow in a seed tray. Use cocopeat with silver sand as growing medium, sifting the top layer extra finely (kitchen sieve). Spread the seeds over the seedbed, press lightly and mist: it is a light germinator! Transplant in potting soil in good time to prevent growth stagnation. The plants can go outside in May, as soon as the weather becomes consistently warmer.
