Nicotiana tabacum 'Bursa'

Nicotiana tabacum 'Bursa'

Product number: 542510
Origin: South America
Latin: *Nicotiana tabacum*

The dark green spade-shaped leaves are heavy and average 25x35 cm. Due to their significant height (over 2m), it may be necessary to stake them in windy areas. The unique flavor is spicy and sweet, and the smoke is fragrant and very aromatic. The nicotine content is quite high for a Turkish variety. Bursa is an excellent tobacco for a pipe or in a cigarette blend.

Tobacco plants are diligent bloomers, in sun or shade, dry weather or rain!

Sowing method: February-April indoors at 20-25°C or outdoors in May (in a warm, shady spot). Always pre-sow in a seed tray. Use cocopeat with silver sand as seed medium, sieve the top layer extra finely (kitchen sieve). Spread the seeds over the seedbed, press lightly, and mist to moisten: it is a light germinator! Prick out in time into potting soil to prevent growth stagnation. The plants can be moved outdoors in May, as soon as the weather becomes consistently warmer.
