Bucak was developed in Turkey from a bright green Virginia tobacco imported from the US in the 1930s. It grows up to 150cm in height with large, heavy leaves packed closely on the stem, and matures 50-60 days after transplanting. On average, 20 leaves per plant, 30-35 cm wide and 55-65 cm long. The plants tolerate rain and wind well and are even resistant to early autumn frost with little to no damage. It dries easily to light brown aromatic treasures!
Tobacco plants are diligent bloomers, in sun or shade, dry weather or rain!
