This variety originated in the Samsun region of Turkey near the Black Sea. It is prized for its rich taste and aroma, yet is mild for smoking. Plants grow 120-150 cm tall and are harvestable in warm countries in 65-70 days. In Turkey, the leaves are often sun-cured. An excellent addition to a cigarette or pipe blend, but also on its own.
Tobacco plants are diligent bloomers, in sun or shade, dry weather or rain!
