Product number: 542500
Origin: South America

Ahus is a fast-growing and very early-ripening tobacco from Sweden. It is ideal for areas with a very short growing season. The plants grow to about 75 cm tall and start flowering in just 30 days after transplanting. The leaves can be harvested after 40 - 45 days. Ahus can be used for cigar or pipe tobacco and is often used in making snus (typically processed tobacco in Sweden and Norway).

Tobacco plants are diligent bloomers, in sun or shade, dry weather or rain!

Sowing method: February-April indoors at 20-25°C or outdoors in May (in a warm, shady spot). Always pre-sow in a seed tray. Sowing medium: cocopeat with silver sand, sieve the top layer extra finely (kitchen sieve). Spread the seeds over the seedbed, press lightly, and mist to moisten: it is a light germinator! Prick out in time into potting soil to prevent growth stagnation. The plants can be moved outdoors in May, as soon as the weather becomes consistently warmer.
