Sweet Pea 'Prince of Orange'

  • Product number: 531400.1
  • Origin: Mediterranean region
  • Latin: Lathyrus odoratus

Salmon pink to red with a soft orange glow, could there be a warmer color?
Orange in Lathyrus is unfortunately not a stable color; genetically, this color is unstable, and therefore you will always see varying colors within a population.
During production, the aberrant plants are removed, but deviant colors will always reappear every generation.

The species mentioned here belongs to the modern Lathyrus odoratus varieties and has proven for some time to possess all the characteristics that enthusiasts crave: healthy growth, abundant flowering (the more you pick, the more it blooms), long flower stems with many flowers (4-6). Where mentioned, the variety has an extra good fragrance, otherwise at least ample and guaranteed colorfastness.

Names:
Latin: Lathyrus odoratus
Dutch: Siererwt
English: Sweet Pea
