Those familiar with Lathyrus will understand that this variety has a rather rare colour combination: usually the lower petals are lighter than the upper ones, here it is the other way around. Lilac-pink veined at the top and violet-blue at the bottom. A grower in New Zealand crossed Lathyrus odoratus with Lathyrus belinensis, the result is the very fragrant "reverse bicolour". The plants climb to about 180 cm.
The variety mentioned here belongs to the modern Lathyrus odoratus varieties and has long proven to possess all the characteristics that enthusiasts seek: healthy growth, abundant flowering (the more you pick, the more it flowers), long flower stalks with many flowers (4-6). Where mentioned, the variety has an extra good fragrance, otherwise at least sufficient and guaranteed colour fastness.
