Edible flower and pod, popular for dishes and tea... Fortunately, more and more enthusiasts are discovering this beautiful climber! After a massive growth spurt, an abundance of pristine white, 5 cm large flowers appear in summer. These have an elegant saucer shape, with two saucers one above the other, a yellow throat, and a protrusion at the top of the throat. The flowers and the pods (after flowering) are edible, but removing them encourages further blooming. Grown in a large pot, the plant can overwinter in a cool place. Give the plant a sunny to slightly shaded spot and enjoy! Add a few flowers to a glass of boiled water or other beverage for the appealing taste. As a tea, it tastes a little like black tea and has a mild flavor; steep for 10 to 15 minutes.
